Amidst challenges within Mataqali Devo in Natua Village in Seaqaqa and initial skepticism from some members of the LOU regarding the proper utilization of lease funds, Turaga ni Mataqali Mr Kavaia Nayacarogo and his family have been steadfast in their mission to uplift welfare and livelihoods within their community.
Despite the obstacles, Mr Nayacarogo himself, along with his family, embarked on a journey to combat poverty and set a positive example for others to follow. Their dedication and perseverance has borne fruit, quite literally.
With the assistance and guidance of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB), Mr Nayacarogo’s family established a family Trust to ensure long-term planning and financial stability. This Trust operates seamlessly with a standing order at the bank, fueled by the lease shares distributed to them on a monthly basis.
