A BRAND NEW TRACTOR FOR TOKATOKA VUNATAWA IN SABETO
November 5, 2025Na Momo Levu na Tui Sabeto, Ratu Viliame Mataitoga, had the honour of officially opening Taukei Plaza Rua in Martintar, Nadi yesterday – the second property acquired under the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB’s) new business direction.
The double-story building is located near Rosie Holiday’s opposite Eden’s Plaza at Matintar.
Ratu Viliame expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to be chief guest and has expressed heartfelt thanks to Hon. Ifereimi Vasu, the TLTB Board, and CEO Mr. Solomone Nata for their vision and leadership in driving this initiative forward.
Mr Nata said the acquisition of the building is aligned with TLTB’s strategic objective to expand its property portfolio.
At present we’ve successfully secured:
1. Taukei Plaza Dua (formerly Vinson Plaza) – Lautoka, acquired for $5.25 million.
2. Now Taukei Plaza Rua (formerly Santok Plaza) – Nadi, valued at $4.2 million, strengthening TLTB’s commercial footprint.
The acquisition of our new office spaces is projected to save TLTB more than $700,000 annually in rental costs.
This is a milestone in the history of the Board as it will achieve significant rental savings and strategic growth.
This investment not only strengthens our commercial footprint but also generates sustainable income and diversifies our property portfolio. It marks a key step in our long-term strategy to become self-financing and reduce reliance on poundage.
Ratu Viliame and the chiefs of Nadi and the broader Ba province including Na Momo na Tui Nadi, Na Momo na Tui Lawa, Na Momo na Tui Nahehevia, Na Momo na Tui Magodro and Taukei Nakaria offers their full support for the new TLTB direction. The chiefs also conveyed their appreciation and support for the Management and Staff of TLTB.
Rev. Naisea Asivorosi was honoured to pray over and bless the new buildings in the presence of the chiefs and the landowning units. Na Momo na Tui Nawaka Ratu Joeli Derenalagi was away overseas but the people of Nawaka were given the honour to conduct traditional welcoming ceremony for the chief guest.
TLTB continues to engage with the landowners, the Government, private sector, and development partners to unlock the full potential of iTaukei land for the benefit of its owners.
