NEW TRACTOR ALLOWS FARMING EFFICIENCY FOR DUAIRA TRUST IN TAVUA
May 19, 2025The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) is part of a government delegation currently making its way through the United Kingdom as part of the Fiji-UK Roadshow 2025 organised by the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.
Over the course of the last two weeks, the TLTB team led by TLTB Chairman and Minister of iTaukei Affairs and other government agencies are visiting Fijian communities in key cities including Abingdon, Stoke-on-Trent, Cottesmore, Catterick, Edinburgh and Inverness on Thursday (UK’s time) to create awareness on what the Government is doing in terms iTaukei empowerment, language and culture, land utilisation, resource development, entrepreneurship, investment and commerce.
CEO Mr Solomone Nata said this is a celebration of connection, identity, and shared future; giving an opportunity to our relatives abroad an opportunity to empower them and their children.
Other services that the team has been providing on site include births, deaths and marriages (BDM) registrations and Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB) entrance and omission of deaths, services provided by Immigration & FNPF,Elections office FHUT, TTFB with The Commercial Arm of TAB, etc
The exercise will continue in Gloucester, Plymouth and then finally wrapping up with a major two-day event in London on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 May.
The presence of TLTB is meaningful, as many Fijians living abroad wish to remain involved in their vanua — from leases and estate planning to development and even to starting a business; Fijians across the UK are encouraged to come out in numbers and make the most of this special opportunity to engage directly with our officers.
