VACANCY 24/2026: MANAGER STRATEGIC PLANNING & SPECIAL PROJECTS

• Lead a team to develop and implement TLTB annual business and Strategic Corporate plan and annual statement of corporate intent;
• Lead and enhance strategic long-term partnerships and consultative working relationships with key national government, industry/community stakeholders to ensure that all perspectives and implications are considered in formulation of policy recommendations to Executive Management and the Board of Trustees;
• Direct the overall performance of the Strategic planning &Special Projects by setting expectations, performance goals and standards and measures to deliver high quality, well researched and constructed policy propositions and outcomes, innovations to process- engineering, partnerships, business opportunities and organization growth;
• Supports the Executive Management in fine-tuning and implementing departments Vision and Mission and provides policy advice on broader land resource matters in the Pacific Region;
• Implements the TLTB staff performance planning and management system for the department.
• Collaborate to deliver effective governance within TLTB and more broadly across the organization as a key participant in critical planning and decision-making processes which underpin strategic goals and outcomes;
• Provide timely, strategic, and expert advice to the CEO to enable fully informed evidence-based strategic policy recommendations and decisions.
• Collaborate with other members of the Executive Team to promote and achieve organizational cohesion, the development of a culture of continuous improvement, and the promotion and adherence of organizational values;
• Provide advice, regular updates and reports to the CEO, Board and Executive Team including relating to financial and risk management.
• Effectively manage change management processes, encouraging innovation, diversity, business excellence, quality management and continuous improvement;
• Plans, develops and implements a range of tactical initiatives and tools to facilitate effective change management;
• Establishes and manages a changes readiness network of change agents for communication, feedback and change leadership purposes.
• Diversity & Inclusion – implement and review the deliverables contained within work plans to foster an inclusive culture which embraces difference, and to influence and create change to provide high levels of accessibility for the organization’s services
• The promotion, improvement and monitoring of productivity in all workplaces within TLTB.
• Facilitate the organization to be future-ready by creating value and opportunities through innovation, productivity improvement and capacity building;
• Develop, implement and monitor the standard operating procedures of team work performance measuring targets against established standards;
• In collaboration with EM and SM, establish outcome measures for programs that effectively demonstrated what different service delivery to clients and stakeholders.
• Conducts organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and to evaluate operational effectiveness.
• Ensure that departments/regions align their business objectives and targets to the Board’s strategy

• Degree in Land Management or related is preferred. Qualifications in Economics, Financial Management is desirable.

• Grade 9 of the TLTB salary scale on a three-year contract.
