The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) is proud to announce that the Vunitavola Subdivision in Tailevu is now 90% complete and just weeks away from finalisation!
- Fully-fledged residential subdivision
- Tarsealed roads
- Water and power supply connected
- Surveyed titles ready for issue
The subdivision comprises:
- 24 residential lots
- 2 commercial lots
Total Project Cost: $1.76 million
What was once used for rice cultivation has now been transformed into a promising residential development — thanks to the collaboration between the Mataqali Vunitavola of Maumi Village in Dravo (Tailevu) and TLTB.
To prepare the land, approximately 16,000 cubic meters of soapstone was used to backfill and stabilize the area, paving the way for the development of a fully serviced subdivision.
Our goal was to ensure that landowners in mataqali Vunitavola benefit from the highest and best use of their land — now aligned with long-term landowners empowerment.
This project is a testament to what can be achieved when landowners and the Board work together to unlock the true value of itaukei land. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to landowner empowerment through the utilisation of itaukei land.
