April 28, 2025The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) proudly marked a significant milestone today Monday, 28th April 2025, with the official blessing and occupation of its new North-West Regional Office at Taukei Plaza Dua — the first TLTB-owned building acquired under its New Business Direction.
CEO Mr. Solomone Nata described the occasion as a very special moment and a significant milestone for TLTB and all landowners across Fiji.
“The key to this achievement is the realization that as members of the iTaukei community, we have the ability to own properties in major towns and cities,” he said. “TLTB is taking the lead, paving the way for landowning units (LOUs) and iTaukei individuals to embrace the idea — and believe — that we can own and operate businesses wherever and whenever we choose.”
The special occasion was led by Reverend Savirio, Talatala Qase Wasewase Namoli, who conducted a small but meaningful church service attended by the Lautoka office staff. During the service, Rev. Savirio delivered an inspiring message from the book of Genesis, reminding the team that just as God entrusted man to manage and protect the Garden of Eden, TLTB staff are likewise entrusted to manage, protect, and serve the landowners of Fiji.
Following the service, the staff officially began their operations from the new premises; with 12 more office spaces open for rent in the heart of Lautoka City. The new office is now fully operational, with the North-West team ready and committed to continuing their service to landowners and stakeholders with renewed energy and purpose.
This move represents not just a new physical space, but a fresh chapter in TLTB’s journey towards growth, empowerment, and excellence in service delivery.
TLTB’s second building: Taukei Plaza Rua, is expected to be ready by June 2025 in Namaka, Nadi.
