The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) and the Lami Town Council (LTC) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration and improve service delivery for our tenants and the wider Lami community.
CEO Mr Solomone Nata said this partnership marks a significant milestone as we unite in our commitment to sustainable development, efficient municipal services, and enhancing the quality of life for all residents within Lami Town’s municipal boundary.
Representing Lami Town Council were:
– Chairman – Mr. Vula Shaw
– Special Administrator – Mr. Tirath Sharma
– Acting CEO – Mr. Azam Khan
What the MOU Means:
– Closer collaboration on shared challenges and opportunities
– Improved data and information sharing (where appropriate)
– Joint initiatives on staff training, capacity building and awareness programs
– Regular consultations on matters of mutual interest
– Establishment of a joint committee to facilitate the goals of this partnership
TLTB currently administers 639 leases within Lami Town across various land types and purposes. This agreement is another step toward ensuring our tenants receive timely, transparent, and effective services.
Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient Lami Town — one that reflects the spirit of trust, partnership, and progress.
