Although it was his second visit to the iTaukei Land Trust Board in Suva by the Minister for iTaukei Affairs Hon. Ifereimi Vasu but yesterday he was accorded the full traditional welcome by our staff at Head Office and the Central Eastern Region.
While addressing the staff Hon. Vasu says that all members of the iTaukei Institutions that comes under his portfolio including TLTB are members of the same family of institutions.
“First of all, I would like to thank all of you for the work that you have been doing and my request is for you to lift that standard a little bit higher.
“Our services are best measured by the people that we serve; if they are happy then it means we are doing a great job. If they are not happy then it’s our responsibility to look into those issues and try to address them.
“It doesn’t matter if we delay the issuing of leases for a little while but it is important to consult the landowners and seek the advice of others.
Hon. Vasu was accompanied by the Assistant Minister for iTaukei Affairs Hon. Isikeli Tuiwainunu.
