The TLTB Consultation Team, led by interim CEO Mr. Solomoni Nata, embarked on a pivotal visitation to Turaga na Qaranivalu and the Vanua of Naivisere to introduce and enlighten them about the business initiatives to assist landowners endorsed by the TLTB Board of Trustees for 2024.
During the visitation on Wednesday 24th January, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, the esteemed Turaga na Qaranivalu, voiced his unwavering support for the initiatives undertaken by TLTB, particularly applauding their renewed commitment to engage with landowners in an effort to restore relationships and rebuild trust. He emphasized the significance of this endeavor, especially considering the lack of transparency and erosion of trust in land tenure decisions under the previous government.
Ratu Inoke expressed gratitude for the clear, transparent, and collaborative plan implemented by TLTB, highlighting its importance for the iTaukei people. He reiterated the support of the people of Naitasiri for these initiatives, recognizing their potential to positively impact indigenous communities.
