The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) has successfully achieved ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification from Bureau Veritas Australia Pty Ltd, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The certification was issued on 27 July 2026 and is valid until 26 July 2029. It covers TLTB’s core business functions, including the administration of iTaukei land leases and licences, collection and distribution of lease monies, sustainable management of iTaukei land, and wealth creation initiatives for iTaukei landowners.
ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems that provides a framework for organisations to improve performance, strengthen governance, enhance customer satisfaction, and deliver consistent and reliable services.
CEO Mr. Solomone Nata described the certification as a humbling achievement for TLTB and acknowledged the collective efforts of management, staff, and the ISO Committee in reaching this important milestone. He noted that the certification reflects the organisation’s commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
Mr. Nata further emphasized that while achieving certification is a major accomplishment, the focus now shifts to ensuring that quality standards, customer service, and compliance remain at the forefront of TLTB’s daily operations.
The ISO 9001:2015 standard will emphasize a strong customer focus, ensuring that TLTB meet customer, landowner and stakeholder requirements consistently. Priority will be given to evaluating and progressively improving the current level, consistency and responsiveness of customer service and timely resolution of complaints across the organisation. The standard will ensure that complaints will be resolved within defined timeframes, with root-cause analysis used to identify service gaps and guide corrective action for continuous improvement. Equal emphasis will be placed on strengthening staff attitude and mindset by promoting accountability, professionalism, empathy, respect and a customer-focused culture at every point of engagement.
The certification is the culmination of the dedication and hard work invested in strengthening TLTB’s systems, processes, and governance frameworks. It also provides assurance to the Board, landowners, customers, and stakeholders that the organisation’s Quality Management System has been independently assessed and certified against internationally recognised standards.
