Officiated by the Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, brought together landowners, government representatives, traditional leaders, investors, and members of the wider community to mark the start of a development that promises long-term economic benefits for the province and its people.
The land is owned by Tokatoka Natauvia, the resort and leisure club development represents more than just a new tourism investment—it represents a partnership that unlocks the value and potential of iTaukei land for the benefit of its owners.
In his official address, Hon, Rabuka said the partnerships between landowners, investors, and Government, noting that sustainable development is achieved when all stakeholders work together towards a common goal. He further acknowledged the role of developments such as this in creating jobs, boosting tourism, stimulating local businesses, and generating economic returns for landowners.
For the landowners of Tokatoka Natauvia, this project opens the door to new opportunities through tourism and commercial growth while maintaining ownership of their land. It demonstrates how itaukei land can be utilised productively to create benefits for both current and future generations.
CEO Mr Solomone Nata said the development aligns very closely with TLTB’s vision of empowering landowners through the full utilisation of their land and resources.
