June 14, 2026As part of its commitment to strengthening relationships with traditional leaders and landowners, iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Solomone Nata, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Momo Levu Na Tui Sabeto at his residence in Sabeto Village.
Accompanied by the Manager Southwest, Senior Estate Officer Operations, and Estate Officer Sabeto, the visit on 9 June 2026 provided an opportunity for meaningful talanoa on matters affecting the Vanua and its landowning units.
During the engagement, Mr. Nata and his team addressed several land-related issues previously raised with the Board, providing updates and clarifications while reaffirming TLTB’s commitment to open communication and collaboration with landowners.
The visit also coincided with the presentation of food items to the Momo Levu Na Tui Sabeto in support of the ongoing renovation of Erenavula, the Vale ni Vanua of Sabeto. The gesture recognized the cultural significance of the project and the efforts of traditional craftsmen from the Vanua of Betoraurau who are leading the restoration works.
Mr. Nata said such engagements are important in ensuring that landowners remain informed and connected with the work of the Board.
“Strong partnerships are built through open dialogue and mutual respect. By engaging directly with traditional leaders and landowners, we can better understand their concerns and work together towards opportunities that benefit current and future generations,” he said.
The visit concluded on a positive note, further strengthening the partnership between TLTB and the Vanua of Sabeto and reaffirming the Board’s commitment to serving landowners through engagement, transparency, and trust.
